Tomatoes break as color changes

Fruit fly is a major problem of tomato and pumpkin vegetables. These flies attack directly on fruits and according to an estimate, harm to fruits up to 40-50 percent.
Nowadays, their aggression increases significantly. Identification of these flies is very important so that our farmers, brothers and sisters can take various measures to control it when they see it in their fields.

Identification and Symptoms: These flies are big and colorful from the domestic fly and there are black spots on its transparent feathers. At the last end of the female fly, there is a sharp eddy (ovipasseter), through which it lays eggs inside the fruit. Eggs are given at the initial stage of the fruit at a depth of three to four mm, from which the infant leaves the pulse after two to three days. These babies are of white color and are rounded on the tip and the last part as the upper end. Within ten days, these babies complete their maggot phase and after that enter the soil, they become converted into PUPA state. After 10-15 days, pupa becomes converted into a fly. The fly attack in tomatoes is at the time of fruit rotation. Tomatoes appear to be healthy from the outside, but if it is pressed a bit, then the water bubbles appear to come out of the fruit pulp. Affected fruits start rotting and are not eatable. Ghee and cucumber fruits become distorted in later stage. These flies complete their life cycle five to six times in a year. The number of this insect in the cold decreases.

Management: If the fruit fly once gave the egg within the fruit, it can not be controlled. It is therefore necessary to control the insect before giving it to the egg. Apart from pesticide medicines, it will also emphasize other methods. Take the following measures for management

- Tomatoes break from green to red color, then break them. Do not keep the fruit on the plant for a long time, otherwise aggression will be more.

- Collect affected fruits and press them in deep pits of about one and a half feet and cover them with soil, so that the flies can not get out of the ground. Do this work at an interval of about ten days.

-Adventive odor can also be used. The chemicals called clollure attract male flies in the vegetables and insecticide kill them in the mist. For its use, make the slices of plywood board (about 5 × 1.5 × 1.5 cm) in ethyl alcohol, quyllor and malathion 50 EC (6: 4: 1) in proportion to dip it to about 48. After this, put the piece in plastic bottle and put 21 vegetables at the rate of 21 bigha. Male flies get attracted to it and die. Empty the bottle by collecting flies from the bottle every week.

During the attack, make molassium 50 EC medicines in 20 ml / 10 liters of water and spray them on the plants. Keep in mind that the fruit breaks before the spraying, otherwise wait for at least seven days.
